We have not touched anything that would affect the flash thing. Are the problems persisting ? Does the normal bbotv work for you ?

One hour ago it was stable but I couldn't see myself on the kibitzer list, which I think indicates that I wouldn't be able to join. (Could not verify this because no seat was reserved for me).

the table and the buttons at the bottom are all disabled. I have tried both Safari and Firefox
and got the same result.

Whenever we update either BBOWin or BBOFlash, other programs that run "behind the scenes" (ie on our servers) have to change as well in order to support the changes in the client.
For the past few weeks we have had a new version of BBOFlash more or less "ready for testing", but in order to test it properly it was necessary to install some new software on our servers. That happened on Tuesday night.
Whenever we release new server software we have to be careful (read paranoid) that we have not created any bugs that could result in problems or crashes for the 100,000 or so people who use BBO every day. So we have spent the past couple of weeks doing little more than testing to make sure we did not break anything.
But one thing we did not test was how the new server software would interact with the most recent public version of BBOFlash.
I have to admit that it did not even occur to me to do this (duh). However, even if I had thought to do this, given the nature of latest public version of BBOFlash as a program that is about 5 months old and has undergone massive revision since it was announced, I doubt we would have been willing to spend a lot of time to ensure that it was still working properly.
If the latest public BBOFlash was "only a demo of something we are working on" (all we ever really intended it to be), it would be easy for us to just shut it down until we are ready to give the public something new. Unfortunately it is more complicated than that - apparently there are quite a few Mac and Linux people among our membership that have no other way to log in to BBO.
So I am not sure what we are going to do. If this had happened a year ago I have no doubt that we would release a new BBOFlash client as quickly as possible (likely within the next couple of days). But our attitudes toward public releases of this thing have changed a lot in the past 6 months. As such, we may decide to shut down BBOFlash completely until the time comes that it is basically a "finished product".
Sorry in advance to those who would be inconvenienced if that is what we end up doing. Whatever we decide, I will post an update as soon as I know more.
In the mean time, I would suggest that people not use BBOFlash especially for the purposes of playing in a game in which they care about the results.

But I thought that those of you who are considering installing Windows emulators should know this.
