I was playing last hand of a tourney with a client, I was most worried about being late to meet some friends when I picked this collection

4th position, opponents Vul

♠AK72
♥QJ1082
♦Q2
♣AK

2 passes to east, who opens 1♥!, I passed quick, wondered for a moment if a psycke at this vul was reasonable, 1NT by LHO, 2♦ by RHO, and I felt myself trapped to pass again, LHO bid a quick 2♥.

I was thinking if I double this.... will it be taken as penalty?, surelly it should specially given partner's shortness in hearts... Then the bidding went pretty fast:

Spoiler

If it was old face to face bridge anyone on the room would had been able to hear my DOUBLE!, even with biddingboxes anyone could had seen the blood in my eyes, givn that it was online, I took my time to stand and get a small victory dance around my room.

If I wasn't so excited and sleepy I should had foresee better what actually was coming, the disapointing result here:

1100???
How can you dream about 1100 after that bidding? Surely it's not hard to understand that RHO has a huge 2-suiter (huge in length). I'd probably have doubled too, hoping for +500. Of course you do know that your side is cold for 4♠ on this bidding. :D
Kind regards,
Harald

I don't think 4S has a shot, even if the defense doesn't get their club ruff there are only 7 top tricks. Getting 3 ruffs in dummy or 4 ruffs in hand can easily be prevented.

I'd have a shot at 4S.

Unknown opponents on BBO do crazy things often, and even a huge 2 suiter is prone to lose control normally.
