Scoring: IMP

Auction:

p - 1♥ - 2NT(1) - 3♥
3NT(2) - p - 4♥ - X(3)
p - p - XX - p
5♦ - p - 5♠ - X(4)
p - p - XX - p
6♣ - p - 7♦ - ap

(1) - Minors
(2) - No preference, interest in competing
(3) - Doesn't like a ♥ lead.
(4) - Likes a heart lead

Result: 13 tricks claimed on x♠ lead.

This is a hand from a Bracket 1 KO final. E-W was Meckwell, N-S was a WC Polish pair.

EDIT: Whoops, the last XX was in the wrong spot.

North was trying to get doubled or something, once his pard bid 3N he was def always going to 7. I don't think it's that amazing to get to 7 when pard shows a double fit for the minors and you have a 0 loser hand :D

Yeah, and East is redoubling his partner's double :)

Ive never held a hand as good as North's here. I might insist on playing a grand even opposite a silent partner.

As North I'd take the easy way, 2♦ followed by 6♣, if partner bids 3NT on our way then 7♣.
