4 NT says 2 minors.
With Spade and a minor you can bid 4 Heart.

But I would never bid 4 NT with this hand. 3 NT is it, bid and hope.

After a double from your left, 4 Club.

I wouldn't have thought about 3NT at the table, but I think it's a fun bid and quite possibly sound.

I think 3NT is silly tbh. Bid 4NT... not only is a minor game more likely to make but in case partner has a monster, a minor suit slam will be easier to find this way.

If pd just has Ax of diamond, which is a hand with fewer HCPs, he needs a good fit to ruff my diamonds to make 5 Club superior.

So, which lesser holding makes 5 Club a winner?

Of course there are hands which makes 5 in a minor and not 3 NT, but same is true vice versa.

If I catch those cards in dummy along with the ♦Q, I'll be thinking about 6 of a minor.

4NT for me, think that 5m is easier than 3NT and that PD may have a max pass and we may find a slam on a lucky day.

maybe this is why I always fail in 3 NT, I just make my eight tricks... sorry, counted the clubs for 6 tricks, which could be a little over-optimistic....

I did not even consider bidding 3NT with this hand - interesting choice but I don't buy it. It's 4NT for me.

4NT has the advantage of 5m still having chances if pard doesn't have the ♦A, so yeah perhaps that's statistically better.

3N would be my choice. I think it's close.

Thinking more about it, I think I would prefer 4N because if LHO bid 4♥ over my 3N, partner will not be able to pick a minor, and 4N by me in the rebound would probably be to play.

If I bid 3N and p doubles 4♥, I will have to sit for the same reason (of course, sitting for 4♥x could easily be right but I don't feel quite confident).
