Let me explain better.
This is Lebenshol Direct denies.
Partner open al2ways 1n and RHO overcalls 2h
With theese hands.
1º xxx xx x Kxxxxxx
2NT then pass 3c?
Do u have to alert 2n as 2 ways then as one stopper with game going values or weak hand with a minor to play?
2º xxx xx Kxxxxxx x
2NT 3c 3d is sign off, to play?
3º Kx xx AKQxxx xxx
3d is game forcing? 1n (2h) 3d?
4º Kx xx xxx AKQxxx
same, 3C is forcing?
What is
1n (2h) 2n! p
3c p
a.) 3s?
b.) 3h?
c.) 3d?
#1) 2NT = either weak with a minor or
or game going values with a stopper
#2) 3D is to play / sign off
#3) a direct 3D bid is game forcing
#4) a direct 3C bid is game forcing
#4a) 3S is invitational with spades, you have 3 ways to
bid spades
- 2S, which would be to play
- 3S direct, i.e. with a jump, which would be game forcing
- 3S via 2NT, in this case 3S just shows an inv. hand
#4b) Stayman and promising a stopper, because we are talking
about a 2H intervention, the 3H bid shows 4 spades, why else
bid Stayman
#4c) see #2)
With kind regards
Marlowe
PS Lebensohl is quite simple, if you have only 2 ways of bidding
a suit (direct or via the 2NT relais), the direct bids bids are game
forcing, the bids via 2 NT are to play.
If you have 3 ways (without a jump, with jump, via 2NT), the
without jump is to play, the with jump is game forcing and the
bid via 2NT is inv.

The "slow shows / fast denies" option is only relevant, if responder
bids 3NT direct or via 2NT, and if reponder bids the opponents suit as
Stayman either direct or via 2NT.
