The_Hog, if you don't read my clarifications, why did you ask for any? I don't mean to be rude, I am only curious. Already in the first post I have written "natural" and "up-the-line bidding". Then I wrote that it's prolly non-forcing by a passed p.

I think you didn't read my second post or the implications behind it - yes natural, but....

would she always bid like this with Kxxx xxx Kxxx xx
would she pass 1H with that, would she bid 1NT with that?

Does the 1S bid show extra values such as KJxx xx AJxx Qxx, or can it be crap like the above? It is really difficult to give a sensible answer unless you know the tendencies and style of your partner.

Btw, I always play 1S in this sequence as 4sf, passed hand or not!

The OP clearly stated that they do not play Walsh. I can not imagine playing 1S as artificial for a passed hand with up-the-line bidding.

I dont see the merrit of playing it as natural. Up the line does not prevent responder from applying the priciple of preparedness. Especially if the 1h rebid is vague (bal or unbal, 11-18), a low-level relay is nice to have.

How do you bid this hand:

Kxxx
x
Kxxxxx
xx

Playing up the line bidding, I'd like to bid 1D followed by 1S. And I'd like partner to be allowed to pass with:

QJx
AQxx
x
QJxxx.

If you prefer to play it as an artificial force then that's fine, surely there are other hands where it would be nice to play it as such. But please, saying that a natural 1S has no merit...
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I read it but it was too early in the morning and I didnt understand it properly. Sorry.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.
