I was West.
I can't say that I am over the moon about East's double, but he does seem to have a bit of a problem. Or does he? If he passes (the only other option?) does he have a penalty pass of a protective double by me? vul v not, with 5 card Spades suit, personally I would go hunting game. Pass and pull a protective double to 3S or 4S?
Additional question: Does my bid of 3C show extras? If I just bid a quiet 2H over the double that is where we stop.
