Yes, 3. 2 shows a fit. If we play NFB so that 2 could be a hand that is too strong for 2 and too flexible for 3, I would like to have more clubs for this bid, but there is no alternative.

Thanks for your reply, it seems normal to bid 3C, and i did it too at the table.
We reached 5 and downed one. We had no stop, but 3nt was makeable because was blocked.

I don't see this as a problem, but hands like this make me glad I play a weak NT.

Why? Playing a weak notrump it would go 1N-3N and you go down after a spade lead. (OK, in this case the suit blocks and you make it).

3C, I wouldn't feel bad about missing a making 3NT where we lack a stopper in the suit they have bid.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

Agree. But I'd be shamefully delighted discovering the blocking suit if I somehow stumbled to 3NT. ;)
