1) Fourth-best ♥. I'm not touching those short suits! Declarer is going to have enough fun setting up his tricks, he doesn't need my help.
2) ♠K. Now we need a little luck. The ♠Jxxxx across the table and an entry could be enough.
3) ♦Q. Aaaaghhh!

I'd lead a heart in all four cases. People push a lot to bid games at IMPs. I'm not convinced that we should lead aggressively if they bash directly to game, since this is still often on 24-26 hcp only. It's also far from clear to me which aggressive lead will work (if any), and I'd rather try to set the routine 24-26 hcp games that just don't make than let those through in order to occasionally set an "unbeatable" game through some lead brilliancy.

Auction 1.
We have 9 HCP so partner will have around 6. This means we're not going to beat the contract by leading ♥. Assuming he has ♥AQ, declarer will usually make 2♥, 4♣, 2♥ and ♠A. Since there was no major-suit interest, the best chance is to find partner with ♠J + entry.
I lead ♠K.
Auction 2:
Similar story to #1. ♠K.
Auction 3:
Since they have shown major suit interest, I'll go for both red kings with partner now. ♦Q.

Seems reasonable to me.

Why is everyone leading the DQ in the third auction when RHO has denied a 4 card major. Doesn't RHO's lack of 4 card major make leading a diamond less attractive and a major more attractive?

Knowing myself, I'm sure I'd lead the ♠K at the table in all three auctions. I'm a believer in strong, short suit leads whenever reasonable. (Note that it can sometimes be a huge disaster.)

In IMPs ♠K♠ is the only lead IMO.
In MP i guess small ♥ could be best.

From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."
