Scoring: IMP

Bidding(opponents always pass):
P-1-1-3-4

I realize that my partner bid it wrong. I still have to play the hand though so how do you play it (I am east)? Lead is J. Average pickup game with average opponents.

(First post BTW)
All IMO. Junior wanting to soak up all the knowledge he can.

Hi jdaming.

Welcome!

About your play problem, I have no idea, i would probably just play for DQ onside and SJ onside in case of 4-2 split.

Hope the experts here will come up with something.

Here is the only line that I see that has a reasonable chance.

Win trick one, run the 9. If it wins, assume that the diamond finesse is working and play K, Q and another trump to the A. If the J falls, you are home.

If the 9 loses to the Q and a heart comes back, ruff with an honor, play the other trump honor from dummy and another spade to the 10. If the 10 wins and the spades are 3-3, you are home.

I don't see anyone answering this problem, so maybe everyone is afraid of it.

Please come up with any improvements on my line.
