Say I'm running version 3.5.5

I've created a tournament restricting entries to "include players from a file on your PC"

In the closing minutes before my tournament starts, I have people not on my list wanting to join. And I want to add them to my list so they can enter and play now!

How do I add them to my private list? Do I need to open my list in another window and add their names? Will the program recognize my spur-of-the-moment additions?

Thanks! :-)

Yes, you need to upload the modified list.
You need to save the modified list with old name (or new one), then modify the tourney to recognize the modification.

I ran a private tourney recently with the condition " Include players from file on PC"

I had created a separate Inclusion List and this List was uploaded to fulfil the condition.

However I found that people who were not in the Inclusion list but on my general Friend's list ( this is a pretty big list ) were able to register for the tourney.

Someone help me with these clarifications

1. How do I make sure that only people's name in a specific inclusion file get to register & play.

2. If I have the restriction imposed like this and if I wanted subs from the general pool, will others be able to register as subs?

3. If this cannot be done, how do I change the Tourney setting as "Open to All"after the Tourney starts ( basically remove the restriction)

If you create a T with 'include from a list' and no other restrictions, your friends won't be able to register unless they happen to be on the list.

If this is no longer the case, it is a bug, but I'd be mildly surprised to find this to be the case.

Perhaps you were not the host , but a TD ? I don't recall if the TD can change the include/exclude list.

The restriction applies to subs also.
To remove it, edit the T after it starts. Click the restiction to UNselect it and save the T as usual.

Finally, if you don't buy any of this, buzz me when you run your next T and i'll check. Or email me -- uday@bridgeba......com -- with the day of this failed tourney, the tourney id (or approx time) , the tourney host name and your own username.

I tried to simulate the problem again, but I was not able to. So I presume, I must have selected by mistake 2 conditions , Both Include Friends of Host & Include players from a file on PC.

I was a host & TD for the tourney I created

I am sorry for the confusion it created for Uday.
