Just finished directing. My main trouble was by the subbing. It would be so easy if you could klick the name of the missing player, click a name of a player on the substitues list, and there you are. But no way. The click on the names does not work, thats point nr one. If you type in the name of the player you want to sub in correctly (try some of those nicks!!!), most times nothing happens, and several seconds later, sometimes even several minutes, nothing happens but a message toi the lobby to invite subs - while my list of subs is full but i cannot get them to the tables i want. this drives me crazy! One little subbing takes minutes!!!

I really like to match te subs to their future partners, but i am happy now if i manage to get any sub playing...

I arranged a tourney the other day,I just rightclicked
the red name and subbed on the TD function contextmenu
there.

Everything automated,I was impressed,especially since
I had to sub about 30 in that short time.

I don't know where the new players flew in from, but they

There is currently no way to select a sub from the sub list for a player who is still seated.

Choices:

1. If player is seated

- right click on player name, sub with random substitute
- click table button, type in player name, leave replacement blank for random sub
- click table button, click show sub list, return to prev screen, type in both names

2. If player is missing (red)
- right click on player name, sub with random substitute
- click table button, type in player name, leave replacement blank for random sub
- click table button, click show-sub-list, click missing player. click replacement.

When a sub request is issued, we ask the sub if he wishes to play (to prevent abuse of this function). When a sub is not available we ask the lobby for subs.

Agree this could use some fine tuning. But as far as I can tell, it is working as designed.

Would it be difficult to sub a player with "sitout" if no sub is available, so that his partner can get a sub as soon as one is available?

Hi,

to make things a little easier to select specific subs you can position the 'list of subs' screen beside the 'sub player X' screen. You can then reference the 'list of subs' when entering the sub name.
I also leave the screens active until the sub accepts, saves some clicks should the sub refuse.

I agree with guggie, right click functions to manage this and allow specific
subs to be selected would be a great help.
Also, right click on red player to edit profile so we can make note of these players when they leave after a bad board.

People can still get their own subs when their partner is red right? Many people don't know this. Maybe a button should show up when partner turns red that says "get me a sub." Then it would be obvious to the person that they can get their own sub.

however i think, that the new version makes a lot of things much more easier.
the only thing i am still missing is the option to mark a red name as enemy with rightclicking.

Right click option of subbing is something very good hence it has eliminated a lot of workload . However it is also causing deficiency on some aspects. (because it is only enabling you to sub missing player with any of the subs when you have some in sub list) . On most of the cases "players" leaving the tourney when they are not happy with their partners. Ideal way is to match same skill level of player with same or to find a player who was playing the same system. Otherwise it turns to "snowball" once they are not agree the other one leaves and you are needing an another sub. My suggestion is if any other right click option could be created to bring "red dot" or "unresponsive player" to "replace to" box without typing and a TD to select a player from the list.
