(p)-2H-??
Your partners passes and RHO opens 2H Muiderberg (5card H, 4+ card m).
You hold:
AKxxxxx-Q-AKxxx-v
What do you bid?

Re 4♦ - yeah, Leaping Michaels isn't forcing (although strongly invitational) and probably works best with equal suit length or longer minor.
What is the jump cue bid of 4♥? Some sort of strong minor 2-suiter?

@Rob: Leaping Michaels IS forcing, that's the whole point!

Hmmm. I like Leaping Micheals with this hand since it at least gets my hand strength and 10 of my cards into the bidding.
What does (2H)-4D-5D;5S show? Is this a reasonable way to show a two suiter with longer Spades than Diamonds (and clearly slam interested)?
What would other rebids show?
It seems to me that most playing Leaping Micheals don't discuss the later auction to this degree.

And is pard supposed to be able to know his ♦Q is enough? I don't think so.

If I was in Heat 1, I'd end up in 6, but not otherwise.

The other danger is that partner will like his club honors or club suit too much. Not a very big danger, but a danger nonetheless.

Zia made that theory publicly known. It's not "crap", it's Psychology.

It may be a comforting thought to you that people who study mathematics don't understand the mind. In my experience mathematicians are almost as diverse as non-mathematicians.
I think I know what is meant by heat 1. Heat 1 is when you are playing your best game, when everything comes easily and you pick up on the smallest tells. When you are in heat 1 it is a good idea to follow your intuition more than usual. It is not that different from a tennis player that is playing his or her very best game, where every stroke seems to be golden. Or perhaps a better analogy: when the tennis player picks exactly the right moment to come to the net or play a dropshot.
Heat 1 is not necessarily a phase in which you are lucky. It is possible to perceive it that way, as you are more likely to drop a king offside or to guess the queen right. It is also possible that a lucky result may have a positive effect on your level on the next board, as you may become more alert (and confident).
But heat 1 is not a phase in which you overbid on every hand. Heat 1 is a state of mind, not a state of faith.
I changed my mind about the hand btw, I think 4D followed by 5S (over 5D) is better than double.

Pass-(2H/Muiderberg)-4H-Pass
4S-(Pass)-6S
I don't know the North hand as I was called away from the table for TD decision. I decided to start with 4H (didn't want to bid too low as I was afraid for a 6C save). Partner did bid 4S and that encouraged me to bid 6. Result : -1 for 16%.
I like 4D followed by 4S/5S now.

If partner bids 4♠ or 5♦ I won't pass but instead rebid 5♠. We might get too high this way, but that's be best way to invite slam and at the same time paint a good picture of my hand.
