MP's , all vulnerable, you're sitting South as dealer, and bidding goes:
you --- LHO --- part --- RHO
1♥------1♠------2♥------3♠(1)
DBL
(1)-preemptive
1) What do you play double in this position?
2) Should DBL mean something else in IMP's?

penalties in both for me, partner is limited and we've found a fit so no other type of X seems needed.

I'm asking my partner to pass for a penalty (with spade support) or bid game( with no spade support). I have a strong hand.

Penalties, for the reason justin mentioned. Doesn't need to have KQJT of trumps, but sure have points

PENALTY -ALWAYS -We know partner's hand. Yes if we have good hand without ♠ there is a problem. But that's because they preempt. Sometimes our partner will have penalty double himself who knows?
