What does "Competitive" mean in bridge bidding?
E.g in a system description with 2 opening multi:
2-(2)-?
- 2 = to play (guessing partners suit)
- DBL = competitive
I always tought competitive was simply fighting for the contract, but here it seems to mean you also have some values and asks partner to bid more with max?

The most important denotion here is it is "competitive"; NOT businessdouble for punishment.
This the more important, as D after preemt is usually for punisment (good for all lower intermediates to know).

But exactly what competitive means knows hopefully the pair...
Cats bring joy and a feeling of harmony and well-being into a home.
Many homeless cats seek a home.
Adopt one. Contact a cat shelter!
You too can be an everyday hero. :)
