Do something - try to avoid things that are illegal, or against your morals (note that that could bear little resemblance to what society thinks is moral). Try to avoid the ones that are more dangerous, or costly, than you can handle. But otherwise, do it.

You will regret the things you don't do more than the ones you do.

Please note, however, that you will regret some of the things you do. Nothing you do will avoid that - including doing nothing. You will definately regret doing nothing.

Choose the salad fork 1st, and work outward to inward; unless an oyster appetizer is being served.

If you are in France, the salad will be served last, and the fork's position will be closer to the plate.
