Finding the Queen Tale from the Club Game

The Auction:

I've never seen this before...

Opening lead: small heart. Won in hand. Pull trumps.

Now, needing club pitches, and expecting a fair chance of the club finesse working, I took the first club finesse by leading the 10 toward my hand, ducking, and WINNING!

Now, a diamond to my hand, ducked by RHO and won with the King. Two diamonds were ditched on the A-K of clubs. Now, I took a marked club ruffing-finesse the other way, ditching the spade loser. Making six.

Note that the poor club split means that I needed the club finesse to work both ways. :) If I guess to simply win the club 10 with the Ace, ruffing finesse the working direction, I'll get two diamond pitches, but the fifth club does not establish for the spade pitch. Obviously, two cashing Aces ruins any chances as well.

And now for the rest of the story...

We opened up the traveller. With four tables in play, we were the third table to play the hand. There was a wall of +480's. Average board.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

A club lead still does not do it.

Assuming a normal auction to 4♥, Dealer's hand is fairly well known. When he wins the club with the 10, pulls trumps ending in dummy, and leads a diamond toward his hand, East should see a looming threat. If he ducks, Declarer is expected to have two club pitches for the remaining diamonds. This may allow two spades in the end, but never three.

If East hops up, the diamonds come in for Declarer, allowing at least two spade pitches, so East should cash out and retire, in case of the actual layout.

Further, the main point was to notice a hand where making six required finessing clubs both ways, working both ways.

Hey, you said there were 3 other +480s and I was telling you how it happened...

In real life when a diamond was played towards hand East either ducked without thinking or played declarer to have started with Kxx Kx Kxx AQxxx.
