Anybody interested in attending the Junior Camp (everyone U25) August 3rd - 10th 2007 in Bristol, England, please email me at kezzerz@hotmail.com or talk to me on BBO alias: kezzerz. Any help would also be appreciated, we already have the great Roland Wald attending and offering his services  The official website for the camp will be http://uk.geocities.com/mr_1303.

Excellent initiative which I strongly support. The camp in Slovakia recently was a huge success. This is great opportunity for bridge youngsters from all over the world to get together and make new friends.

It's good for you and it's good for bridge!

I will try to get a couple of English experts to go there for a day or two and perhaps give a lecture. Frances Hinden is one of our regular posters and a strong candidate, and I will also ask David Burn - one of the most entertaining persons in the game.

Don't hesitate, contact Kerri (kezzerz) and sign up!

Thanks Kerri for advertising this. At the moment, we're still waiting for official EBU backing, but a venue has been decided upon (Hiatt Baker hall, one of the halls of residence at the University of Bristol). The website is slowly being written by yours truly.

As Kerri, Joe Mela, Tom Dessain, Michael Byrne and I have more information, I'll post it on here.

Thanks again for your support Roland.

Great effort! I hope it will be just as a success at the German one which starts next Sunday :)

Well, so far we have both Roland and David Burn confirmed as attending the junior camp next summer. I'm very much obliged to both of them for agreeing to come and pass on their wisdom and knowledge onto tomorrow's superstars.

This camp should be a huge event. Lets make it the success it deserves to be.

By the way, the camp is open to juniors from any country, not just English juniors.

Jeffrey and I will also come for a day or so. We both gained a lot from junior squad activities (too many) years ago - they were good fun.

I will see if I can pop down one of the weekends, even though I'm a bit of an old codger these days!!

It's really great that we're getting so much support from so many sources. Having people like Frances, Jeffrey and Alan around will be invaluable in getting an event going like this.

Incidentally, we have a number of potential sponsors lined up, which should lead to the cost per player significantly going down.

Watch this space for further news as and when I get it.

OK, the website is now finished (apart from the programme of events which is still undergoing discussion.

If anyone out there who knows anything about webpages and can suggest some improvements, (constructive) comments would be most welcome.

Latest news: the price has now been set at £175 for the week. We will be offering a discount of £10 as an incentive for people to sign up by the end of April.

I hope to see as many of you juniors as possible there, for what rates to be a really enjoyable week
