If you have not tried BBO Version 4.8.7 or later, I suggest you use the link below to read about it before upgrading to 4.9.8:

Click for 487 post

Only minor bug fixes and small changes in the default color file (chat and brb).

That may not sound like enough to justify upgrading, but we are hoping to let the world know about the new BBO on Monday so please help us to ensure that there are no serious problems in the version we release!

If you want to try the new colors, upgrade to 4.9.8, go into the Colors tab of the Options dialog, and click "restore defaults".

At this particular moment trying to load the new defaults through the "Color schemes" area will give you a slightly outdated file (this will change soon).

Let me know if you find any bugs either by e-mail (fred@bridgebase.com) or by making a post to Forums.

Instructions for upgrading to version 4.9.8 follow.

You can upgrade to 4.9.8 at:

or download everything at:

I suggest you use the first method, but however you do this, please make sure you exit the BBO program COMPLETELY before you start the download process.

Perhaps I should have also mentioned that the 2 team colors and the whose turn color have also changed.

The latest default colors are in the "color schemes" area now. You do not have to have 4.9.8 to try them (but please upgrade!).
