Hi !

I would like to organize a little tournament for my friends.
They should be able to registrer on bbo for the tournament.
About 1 hour or so before the beginning, i should be able to fill the remainning places with bbo users.

For exemple, let's say the tournament be sunday at 7.00 pm.
I want 20 places ( 5 tables ).
The friends goes on bbo and register.
At 6pm, suppose only 12 places are filled. I then open to everyone for the 8 places.

Is it possible to do that and how ?

First, get permission to create a tourney. Email td@bridgebase with your username

Next, create the tournament, and while doing so, limit the number of pairs that can register and select 'INCLUDE FRIENDS OF THE HOST'. This will prevent anyone who is not on your friends list from registering. If you are planning to play, say so in the description.

Finally, an hour before the tourney starts, edit the tourney and clear the restriction (INCLUDE FRIENDS). THe tourney is now open and the remaining seats are available to any user
