Unable to pay for MBT

I'm trying to register for Money Bridge Tournament 592, but it won't let me. When I click Request Registration, two windows pop up. First there's one labeled "Card Fee Required", and I click on "Pay". Then a second window pops up labeled "Payment Requred", and I click on "Yes" to deduct the payment from my account, but then it just pops up again, over and over until I click on "No". No other pay tourney has this second dialogue, they just have the first one.

Same for me, but nobody has registered yet. I'm going to see if I can perhaps register when the previous tournament is over and other people register.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

Bah, another bug (and thanks for the sighting, Barmar. Allow me....)
Short answer:
If you don't have any money in your money bridge account, this looping thing happens.
You need $ in your money bridge account to play in the (pay) money bridge tourneys. BB$ are not sufficient. You can add Money Bridge dollars for the moment from inside the tourney by clicking the $ sign at the bottom. Or by visiting http://online.bridge.../mb/mbadmin.php
We'll install a fix in a few hrs. Testing it now...
Long answer:
There are two currencies in BBO at the moment.
BBO$ -- used for online content and normal pay tourneys and GIB.
These are not refundable, and cannot be withdrawn.
Money Bridge $ -- used for money bridge games and money bridge tourneys. This is your money, and can be withdrawn at any time via paypal or a check on a US bank. Deposits into Money Bridge are cleared by Ebay/Paypal, fwiw.
There is a bug in the system at the moment. It will be fixed tonight. If you have BB$ but not MB$ and try to signup for a money bridge tourney the system gets confused.
Instead of prompting you for a deposit, it loops around with those boxes until you get tired and click NO at some point.

Yeah, that was it.
I see you put $10 in my money bridge account. Where did it come from?

It came from us, as a small TY for catching a bug that would surely have been far more irritating to deal with on Monday (when we plan to rlse the new client to all users).

hi
..i was about to report this also ...glad to see it already resolved..
however there's another small problem ..
the pop-up window that appears when y try to enter a MTB tourney appears to have 'links' to Internet Explorer .. eg: clicking on 'click here to deposit....' causes a long hang followed by a windows error-msg box .. probably because I use Netscape
(IE6 IS on my pc ,but hasnt worked for months since a Microsoft 'Automatic Update' nearly wrecked my pc
)

There is a file in your BBO folder (likely c:\bridge base online) named bbover.ini.
You can use any text editor (like Windows Notepad) to edit this file. In it you will see:
BROWSER_TYPE=C
Try changing that to:
BROWSER_TYPE=A
or
BROWSER_TYPE=E
save the file and try again. Please let me know if this makes a difference so that we can better help other people who experience this problem.
Thanks,

Thanks for the good news, Dog.
Just curious - did you try it with option A?
If no, you probably should. If this works it will likely be better for you than option E.

Thanks Fred
