As a TD for a teammatch what do I need to click on, type, etc. to sub a player at the other table? Often a player at other table goes red or name darkens and cannot play, how do I sub for them?

Hit the green 'TABLE' button and look for the Substitute section. You can then "Show Substitutes" and also replace someone.

It is explained in the managing subs in tournaments help file.

If a player has abandoned/disconnected then his partner can use the "Call Director" button to find his own replacement.

Ok so if I just click on that substitute now box, it will give offers to play to the available subs and they click and accept and if no one is available then an offer for subs go out? I do not have to manually remove the old player?

Unfortunately no.

The 'Substitute now' button requires that you have the old player name and new player name entered in the boxes provided. This is the method used when a player is not actually disconnected but is non-responsive, e.g., persistent red dot. If you enter the old player name with no new name then a message is sent to the Lobby, but you will need to use the Show subs button to see who responds.

If a player is disconnected, or has withdrawn, then use the 'Show substitutes' button. Select the missing player (or Sitout) and one of the subs - an invitation is sent to the sub who hopefully accepts - repeat until replacement found.

If there are no subs listed, then select the missing player and click OK. A message is sent to the Lobby looking for subs. Wait about 30 seconds and then Show subs again. Repeat as necessary.

Cheers
