If I register for a Money Bridge Tournament, then go kibbitz somewhere else, when the tournament starts I get disconnected.

I don't know if this is specific to MBT or all tourneys, as I haven't played in any regular tourneys recently.

Thanks. I will investigate. Some questions:

Did you get some kind of error or status message? If yes, what did it say?

Did you automatically reconnect?

Has this happened more than once?

We have a rough idea of what is going on here and we think there is some danger of system-wide problems if we allow MBTs to continue before this is fixed.

So MBTs will stop running on the main server until further notice. That could be anywhere between an hour and a few days.

If it turns out that this is a server problem you will not need a new version when we switch MBTs on again.

Server problem. I will restore the automated mbts when i install a fix, later tonight.

The risks involved in installing a new server or continuing to allow mbts to run are slight but real, and we don't usually install new code until off hours.

Sorry about that - the mbts will be back in 12 hrs

If I'd known you were going to cancel the tourneys for the rest of the day, I'd have waited until I was finished playing to report the bug.

I was booted from BBO also. I was in the MBT room (around 1:25 EDT +/- 30 minutes), not signed up. I came back a few minutes later, and I was booted. I believe I was booted after the tournament started, but I am not sure what time as I was not at the computer. Not sure if this helps the bug fix.
