I'd go for 3. Tactically, it is the best choice, and rates to give oppos a friendly push toward a (tragic) 4. If pard has a fir in spades, I'm happy playing 4 of them.

1S, 3S, and 4S could all be right. Since it is favorable at IMPs, I am bidding 4S. I would have no quarrel with a pd who bid differently.

I bid 1S, I would never do anything else.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

1, 2 or 3, depending on how much wine I had for dinner.

4 is possible, but that would require a bunch of double scotches ;)

:) Some number of , but not four. I would need a seven bagger to bid four. Pard is a passed hand, and I have 12 HCP, so I would like to propose a 4 save AND barricade the bidding. 2 is probably the best, but 3 or even a quiet 1 look OK to me. I do like my 6-4 shape and spade texture a lot.

Favourable I would bid 4 on the rule that you don't know what is right for the opps. I have no idea if 5 would be a good idea over 4, but if I bid 3 I am pretty sure opps should compete further so they probably will too. So either 1 or 4 for me, with pref. for 4.

There is so much that can happen favorably for your side, and you've got the favorable vulnerability to work with. Bid 1s, and assume it will not go P-P-P. (even if it does, you may be getting your best result).

Your best spot might be 4s, or it could be 5d (or 6d). 4h may fail miserably, or 5h may be unbeatable. If game makes their way, maybe your winning move is to sacrifice, or maybe it is to avoid the tempting double.

Bid 1s, and see how partner (and the opps) carry on. Plan on bidding diamonds, espeially if LHO raises H and partner does not raise spades.

If you bid 4s immediately, and a good LHO bids 5h, it will be you (not they) who will be stuck gessing.
