Whileplaying reasonably aggressive opening style (10 good Hcp, 5 cards weak 2) what are good methods to use over opp's 1nt by passed hand?

Multi/landy:
2C = majors
2D = a major
2H/S = that major [5 cards] and a minor [4+]
2N = minors
Double = pens by unpassed hand, 4 of major and 5+ minor by passed hand.

Yes - that what I was asking about. Since I didnt bid weak 2 ( passed hand) - so what does 2d shows?

For a passed hand, I like straight DONT. My thinking is that you're much more liklely to have a minor oriented hand. So:

x = single suit
2c = clubs & another
2d = diamonds + a major
2h = h + s

2M=natural
X=1minor or both majors
2min=something here, and something else (2-suited or three-suited), scramble.

Only on if white v white

Hi,

Keep it simple.

Since our intervention over a strong NT
are destructive, nothing changes, i.e. we
play our normal defence against strong NT,
Lionel to a certain degree similar to DONT,
altough 2H / 2S will never occur, because
those hands would have opened 2H / 2S.

With kind regards

Thats exactly the point - waisting bids (both 2h and 2s in that case) while simple isn't elegant.
Basically one suited major overcalls can be removed from interference scheme

On my own I came with this dont modification of dont
By passed hand:
(1N) -
... X - one suited c or d or both majors with better S or 55 s+c
... 2c,2d - Dont
... 2h - both M, better H
...2s - S+D

Does it makes sense?

Normally I like Meyerson vs. notrump (woolsey/multi-landy is a second choice) but this makes less sense for a passed hand. If you don't care about memory constraints and you open pretty aggressively I suggest:

X = long minor and shorter major; usually this hand has no opening bid in the minimum range
2♣/♦ = natural, one-suited (assuming you don't play weak two in the minors)
2♥ = both majors, probably 5-5 but pretty weak
2♠ = both minors; partner can bid 2NT to ask you to pick one (assuming no 5-5 minor preempt)

Yeah that looks fine, assuming you don't pass 6 card majors much in 1/2 seat, and whern you do you usually have 4 of the other major.

it would seem to me if your agressive on your openers then there is less likelyhood that you need to compete if you have passed then most likely partner has passed...if not then partner is the one competing knowing that you have not opened.

I did it onece. I felt it's quite silly when LHO doubled and pard bid my singleton on 3 level. I could be much more comfortable if bid my suit after pard balanced. What I learned is included in previous posts -- a pass is just fine.

Regards.
