I just discovered Likke Li's Wounded Rhymes. There is a local independent music store here that stocks a lot of vinyl, new and used, as well as a lot of cds. I've been trying to broaden my choice of artist.....and so far the recommendations I have been given are working out: The Decemberists, P.J. Clarke, Fleet Foxes and so on but this last one, Likke Li may be the best album I've bought this year.

Something hot for the winter evening, my by far favorite take from Woodstock. I don't want to know what these guys smoked before this gig, but anyway they are amazing in their rythm feeling.

Awesome!
I missed Woodstock. I was in Texas. At Fort Hood. In the Army.
Somewhere around here I have a picture of my Dad, during the Woodstock Revival (or whatever they called it) in Saugerties in the 1990s, sitting on his front porch with a shotgun "in case those damn hippies come over the hill". He was joking, of course. I think.
