I am sure many of you have had such an embarassing moment that you wanted the ground to open up, and swallow you in...something which still makes you blush when you think about it... something you will never forget! But something you probably don't mind talking about now...
Please share

No *****... there we were...

The Arlington Junior High School soccer team, arrayed in all our purple and gold glory. A very nervous 13 year old named Richard Willey was playing sweeper in an early season home game.

Somehow, I forgot to put my shorts on...
The uniform was WAY too large - more like a dress than a Jersey - so none of this way really noticable until the game got underway and I started running and the jersey started shifting...

Took a LONG time to live that one down

Does that mean you didn't wear anything at all or just your underpants?

I don't know why it happens but it does now and then: chatting privately to a friend on BBO but not rechecking, and then *oooooooooops* the absolutely most private words go to the LOBBY. I received for example some serious offers after posting which sort of men I like; remember, aisha? Fortunately more and more people ignore lobby chat nowadays
Some years ago I thought I was replying privately to an email of a friend (just clicked on the reply button because I saw the displayed address of the friend in an email which I received through a mailing list) and then sent that email to the whole mailing list :) It took some time to reach the host of the list and ask him to remove that mail. One lady was fast, printed it and gave it others for reading in my local bridge club.

We can negotiate how much you gonna pay me NOT to tell everyone about that incident when you were sun-bathing in Malta....

If forum still up in 2019 might re-consider it then...

Well my first appearance on BBO Vugraph was embarrassing. I won't tell when that was :)

You've done that 758 times already?

Anyway what was really embarassing was something like this. My partner registered us for a bridge tournament and had some trouble with the organizer who both of us really dislike. My partner forwarded the registration to me and I wrote him back, also saying something negative about the person organizing it.

What I hadn't reallized: This message was also CC'd to the tourney organizer! OOPS!

(People who know their way in the German Bridge scene can PM me to find out who the organizer was)
