None - Cider (Merrydown and Weston's) and spirits all the way :)

Actually, I once found a Russian Beer that didn't taste like...well, beer. That was ok.

My homemade stuff beats almost anything that you'll find commercially...

With this said and done, here are a few of my favorites:

Delirium Tremens
Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout
Chimay White
Full Sail lager

In general, I'm partial to any on tap, especially if its brewed locally.
However, Australian beer is an exception to this rule. As far as I can tell almost all

The beer in England is generally much better than in the States. However, in the states you can find many more better beers from, e.g. Germany, that you cannot find in England. I certainly miss The Brickskeller in Washington, D.C. Nothing on tap but the selection of international beers was second to none:

My favourite beer of those that I've tried is Paulaner Hefeweizen.

There are quite a few local brews here that are just excellent on tap.

I think my once a year wine shipment from australia is arriving today! As usual, half my order is wines from my favorite wine maker, Ben Riggs. I also got a bottle of Domaine Sathenay Peche de Vigne Peach Liqueur, since I have a sweet tooth at heart. Party at my house tonight!

German "ALT" beers brewed strict under the "German Purity Law" of 1516
(the oldest food-releted law does still exists)

That's debatable. Well, it would be like arguing whether Germany or Brazil have the better Cricket team. Anyway, I still drink beer, although I spent a year in England.

Hefeweizen (helles), of course.

Indeed. (It also made me pee more often than "regular" beer.)

Do you drink it with coke, banana juice?

To those of you who might wonder: It is very common in Germany to mix all kinds of beer with coke. Wheat beer actually is mixed with banana juice even. Very tasty.

Red Stripe, just for the silly slogan:

Fond of the grape, not of hops.

Unless:

1. Its St. Patty's day (or Im at a pub) and I will have a Guinness in my hand most of the day.
2. I'm doing landscaping in the yard.
3. Visiting my wife's family (where my choices are crappy wine or Coors Lite; I'll take the latter).

well I can see we have some very astute people here

Josh, Theakstons Old Peculiaris spot on good choice (you may wish to try Greene King Abott Ale in there, my favorite all time beer, Consiliation Ale is a close second)

Richard, Australian beer is like piss (almost correct, but some of it is not that strong)

most English Beers (of note) and I can list probably 20 - 30 of the top of my head that would come in the top 100 beers in the world.

England rules as far as beer is concerned, I am not biased in this opinion, I am just stating a fact.

I find it offensive that wine should be mentioned in a beer post, you should start your own post under good quality antifreezes, with special consideration for Czech wine as a first rate engine treatment

Agree but when you are in Germany Belgium is not very far and I'm sure we have a lot of the best beers in the World (even if we don't have the Carlberg, he Roland ! )
