This is assuming you will win the ♠A in dummy at trick 2?

As a hint, clubs are 5-2, with Qx on your right.

That's funny, I assumed clubs were 6-1. The switch was very odd.

At my table, RHO continued with a club and clubs were cleared with a low club (hence my assumption that LHO had a diamond honour). It was our teammates that switched to a spade and declarer failed. I gave the problem from our teammates table as I felt it slightly harder.

I'm assuming RHO (who DIDN'T forget his partner's spot ) would have continued clubs with 4 or 2, but not 3 or 1. Qxx seems like the most likely holding; since they didn't balance or compete over my 1N, it seems the opponents are balanced. The have 18 between them

RHO fired a spade into A-4th. Interesting. This doesn't look appealing with J-4th or any 3 card holding, so I'm putting RHO on 5 spades (are the spade really x's or do we have the 8 and 9?

If RHO has 5 spades, it looks like LHO is 1=4=4=4. RHO will probably have one of the red aces but not both.

First I want to knock out the A♥ first, so I'll lay down the Q♥, intending to hook the 10 if pushed.

If my read on the hand is right, LHO will feel some discomfort on the spades, and will probably release a club early. I will be able to knock out the A♣ and be able to cash my winner there.

There are a lot of permutations on the hand, but even if I'm reading the hand wrong, I can change my mind about things later, and try to set up diamonds for instance.

Looking at the dummy hand, RHO shift to ♠, that means ♦ suit has some good news to me. did u understand this?
of course opps maybe very poor ,that isn't my thinking for reference.
