Yes, it is funny to see how masterpoint inflation has for eons been debated but I do think it ultimately has been a superb marketing tool for the game.

Yes but I remember when I started playing in the 70's you got to play against the best players all of the time, so new players cut their teeth against alot better quality of players then they do now.

Now their are 24 brackets of the KO's, and KO's going all sessions of the tournament. It definitely has cost the loss of glamor from the matchpoint games as you dont find 400 pairs playing in matchpoint regional pairs events anymore.

I thought thought they should apply the Law of Entropy to bridge. If you win you get some many points if you finish last you lose the same amount of points so the idea would be to be plus. So your points would reflect on how good you really were.
