Anders Wirgren
Certainly a better sounce of information about most things bridge related than yours truly

Wirgren is an excellent theorist. His work on Lott has made me rethink this concept totally (see Misho's link).

However there are hands and rules and there are hands and rules.
Recent event.

I originally posted this as a reply to Richar'ds comment re Peter's question; this is more appropriate in this forum.

(1C) 1S (X) 3S
(4H) all pass

You hold
AKxxx
A9xx
x
xxx

You lead A of S (do you?)

Dummy tracks with
xx
KJxx
Axxx
Qxx

Pd plays an even count card. He would have played Q from QJ. How do you continue? His 3S bid was pre emptive.

Yep!
Was sort of wondering whether any heroes would lead the stiff, win the H and underlead AK of S. This came up last week. Looks like a "book hand".
