Fan Content Policy
We are honored by the interest shown by bridge fans towards BBO games
and our company, and we love that you want to create articles, videos
and other stuff based on our platform and software. At the same time,
we spend a lot of time, thought, and money creating our brand and
software, and we need to protect it.
In most cases, using BBO intellectual property without our permission
is illegal and a violation of our rights. This Policy explains
what you may do if you wish to create content (for example articles,
videos, artwork and other materials) using or featuring our software
and brands. We reserve the right to change this Policy at any time by
revised Policy to our website. Any existing fan content that no longer
complies with this Policy due to a change in the Policy must be
modified to be compliant with the Policy.
I. General Rules
- You may create Content featuring the BBO platform or based on BBO
intellectual property, as long as you
comply with this Policy. Any fan Content that violates this Policy is

the Conditions of Contest specific to any game you are using to produce
your content (eg. in an ACBL sanctioned game, ACBL CoCs apply).
- Your content must be appropriate for the BBO audience and
consistent with the spirit and tone of Bridge Base Online (as
determined by BBO). Your Content must comply with applicable law, may
not violate the rights of others, and must not be obscene, sexually
explicit, defamatory, offensive, objectionable, or harmful to others.
- If you are recording or writing about other BBO members, you must
notify the table and obtain consent from the other players before
recording or otherwise featuring any BBO members in your Content.
- Fan Content must have no commercial (i.e., monetary) objective.
As an exception to this, fans are permitted to monetize web videos
(such as YouTube) with advertisements, so long as those videos
otherwise meet the requirements of this Policy.
- Bridge Base Online, in its sole discretion, can revoke your
permission to create Content based on our brands and software at any
time and for any
- Your Content may not include links to websites that we deem
offensive or not in the best interests of Bridge Base Online (as
determined by BBO).
- You may not use any Bridge Base Online software or intellectual
property in any manner that is
derogatory to BBO or that may damage the value, reputation, or goodwill
of BBO or its products or brands (as determined by BBO).
- You may not create or use your Content in a manner that could
cause people to believe that it is an official BBO production. For
example, if you have a website, it may not be designed to look like an
official BBO website, and it must be clear to visitors that the website
is not endorsed by, or affiliated with, Bridge Base Online.
- You must display the following disclaimer on or in connection
with your Content, including on any web page containing your Content:

II. Your Agreements with Bridge Base Online
Except for the limited permission described in Section I above, your
use of any BBO intellectual property is subject to BBO's Terms
, and other agreements you may have with BBO or BBO affiliates,
depending on which game or BBO members you are featuring in your fan
example, always review the Conditions of Contest for the game you are
playing before creating any fan Content.
Live streaming from a game
that prohibits spectators or publishing hands and results while other
players might be still playing the boards violates the Conditions of
Contest for that
game, as well as BBO's Rules
of the Site
. You are expected to stream and post responsibly,
without jeopardizing the
security of the events featured in your content.
Bridge Base Online reserves the right to take legal action against you
for your misuse of BBO intellectual property.
