Play - Start a Table
By clicking the "Play - Start a table " button, you will be taken to a table options menu to set up a table for four people.
Scoring: Select scoring types from three options, Total Points, Duplicate Imps, Duplicate MPs.
Description: Type a brief description of your table for prospective players to review.
Privacy options include:
Allow Kibitzers: On - Tap to select Off
Kibitzers can chat with player: On - Tap to select Off
Permission required to kibitz: Off - Tap to select On to prevent people from watching without permission. If you change from Off to On, kibitzers will be removed from the table
Permission required to play: Off - Tap to select On to require prospective players to ask to play
Reserve seats: Tap in a space, and then type the player username. Tap the "X" to remove a reservation
Start competitive table: This options starts your table in the Main Bridge Club
Start relaxed table: This option starts your table in the Relaxed Bridge Club
Clicking the Cancel link takes you back to the main menu.
How to Bid
When it is your turn to bid, the bidding box appears on your screen, above the cards.
To bid, tap a number, then a suit symbol. For example, to bid 2 Hearts tap number 2, then ♥.
To make an alerted bid, tap Alert, type in the explanation, then tap the bid as described above.
To request a bid explanation, tap the bid. A box pops up for the player to type the explanation.
How to Play
When it is your turn to play, the square next to your name becomes highlighted in blue like this:
Tap a card to play.
After the deal is played, the score is displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen:
The board number and vulnerability are marked in the top left corner of the screen:
Red means vulnerable, and white means non-vulnerable. Here E/W is vulnerable, N/S is not vulnerable.
Tap the "Back" button at the top to leave the table.
Tap the down arrow in the upper right part of the screen to bring up the menu for viewing the convention card posted for the pairs. Tap to view the card for NS or EW pairs.
There are two styles of convention cards and the card posted for the pair while logged in with our official web version or the older downloaded Windows version of the program will be reflected in the card style visible on the tablet. Tap the "X" at the bottom of the card to close the window.
