You get a thrill to play with great world class p/u partner. No discussion so just assume 2/1. IMPS.

HAND ONE: NV VERSUS VUL.

P=P=P=2C
4C=P=P=4S
P=?

b*) if you passed LHO may bid 5c and partner said he would double, what would you bid now?

Hand one: I will pass throughout. Perhaps 5 will make here, but 5 is probably down multiple tricks. The one trick I take from partner with the spade length may be the difference between down two (+500) and down three (+800) while 5 is only wirh 450 even if making. If partner had passed 5 (which I really think should be a forcing pass) I would bid 5.

Hand two: Pass throughout. With 7222 shape and unfavorable I don't think this is the hand to push to 3 on my own. Partner can bid 3 on doubleton if he wants, and if partner wants to defend I'm happy to do so.

hand 1... depends on my opps. If they're the usual crazies I'll pass and pass. If they are fairly solid I'd pull to 5S, but im guessing theyre the usual nuts. Hamman always says "trust your red/white opps" but when theyre the usual suspects I dont think that applies...

hand 2... pray to jesus LHO doesnt sit for the X? I'm definitely not bidding anymore..

I am tempted to invite slam with 5C.

Second hand is a clear pass.

Maybe you should double the 4C bid (as in DOPI) cause pard may think that you have an ace for your pass!
