Was giving some thought to overhauling my minor suit preempt structure.
I'm currently using
2NT = bad 3 level preempt in eiother minor
3♣ = constructive club preempt
3♦ = constructive diamond preempt
I was thinking of playing with a structure based on using 3♣ to show bad 3 level preempt with either minor...
Anyone seen something similar?

SjoerT Brink played with one of his partners (I'm not sure which one)
3♥ either major
3♠ solid minor suit
3♥ either major
3♠ solid minor suit

no, haven't seen something like that. But still, the problem of this opening structure (and your current one) is that it's brown sticker, so you can't play it everywhere
Why not use one of your openings for both minors? 3♣ (not forcing) works great, but you need a transfer preempt ♣

I like the light 3C opening showing either minor suit, but I don't like 2NT showing a sound club preempt at all. You are wrongsiding a likely 3NT contract.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

Where allowed I like:
2NT as big balanced non-forcing hand (say 23-24) or bad preempt in ♣s
3♣ as non-bad preempt in ♣s or bad preempt in ♦s
3♦ as non-bad preempt in ♦s
(this can be extended into the majors)
Over 2NT, the complete 2NT package is used. However if responder is worried that opener might have the bad preempt (no ace or king in any suit) s/he bids 3C Stayman, and opener passes this with the bad preempt hand.
