I care about the friends I have made on BBO. Also, I am extremely concerned about the environment/ ecology/ wildlife/ the little planet that we call Earth. How much more of the world's habitat and food supply for animals do we plan on destroying. How many more wetlands are we going to drain, fill, and build on? How many more sand dunes are we going to knock down in the interests of high-rise hotels or luxury homes?

The team played great. Lotta happy folks.

Rubin-Ekeblad's 2nd segment was nearly epic. Wow.

As Joey Silver is found of saying: "NEXT!"
"Champions aren't made in gyms, champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. " - M. Ali

3rd segment was wild as all ______.
Not sure how many imps were won by both teams combined, but I can't remember the last time I saw so many double-digit numbers on both sides of the scorecard. Big swing after big swing after big swing. So many judgment calls that could go either way, hand after hand. Firechief et. al kept getting closer, then came the unfortunate -1100 hand.

The whole (Ekeblad) team performed to a high standard and clearly deserved this win. It was a pleasure to comment.

Ekablad is rounding into form and playing at a very high level just in time for the BB. I look forward to their Berumuda Bowl performance and will go out on a very short limb based upon their outstanding performances of late and predict that we will see them in the semi-finals there against Nickell. Hope I didn't jink either american team.

Now, if they can just work out if 1♣ maybe two card, two ♣ overcall is clubs or michaels they will be all set. I suspect the confusion was over "artificial" 1♣. 2♣ was probably natural, and over 1♣ natural, 2♣ is michaels.

Isn't the other US team in the BB Nickell? Would be surprised to see Welland in the semis!

If you missed any of the action [or just want to see it again :) ], all the files are now up on Nikos site :

In addition to the final, see Fred/Brad in action against Zia/Rosenberg and Lauria/Versace in the close match vs Jacobs.

Thanks for all the supportive forums posts, e-mails, and BBO mail messages!

I am not sure why I have enjoyed so much success lately, but maybe knowing that our team has a lot of fans out there has made a difference B)
