Unless you play e.g. Gazilli (the route would go via 2C I believe), but playing standard,
what is wrong with showing 6+ clubs and a hand in 15-17 range?

I agree that 3♣ is the standard bid here, but I do think 2♦ is an LA and was curious if any here would choose it. Playing devil's advocate:
- the strength is not concentrated in clubs
- 2D is not a gross overbid and gains almost an entire level of bidding space, plus a strength signal from partner.

This hand is close to 2♦ strength, but the shape and stiff spade don't quite get us there.

Whether we are strictly promising 4 card diamonds or not depends upon agreements and style, I think. I like to play that the cheapest reverse is semi-artificial, but even without that I don't have many qualms about reversing into a good 3 card diamonds suit: partner will only raise to 3♦ if he bypassed 4+ cards and has a positive hand.
I agree that the strength is insufficient.

I dont think there is a difference with regards to the min. req. strength for making a 2D reverse vs. a 3C bid,
the only difference is, that 3C has also an upper bound, 2D is unlimited.
If you play it as semi art., ..., I have no exp., what do you expect p to show.
Semi art. sounds like, tell me more, I am not interested in 4 hearts, not interested in 5 spades,
but I am interested in 3 clubs ..., so maybe why not, but than with 3 clubs from me,
he will know the 6-3, he knowes my min / max.

It is standard to include single-suited clubs, too strong for a jump to 3♣ (so approximately 18+), into a fake reverse. This makes the 2♦ rebid two-way - either a clubs-diamonds reverse (with 4(+)♦5(+)♣), or a single-suited very strong clubs hand (with 6(+)♣ and 18(+) hcp or so). This hand fails the first conditions on diamond length and the second on strength. Do not mix and match these requirements, this causes confusion.
This fake reverse is not considered 'semi artificial' - there is simply no standard rebid on 1♣-1♥ with, say, ♠x, ♥AK, ♦AJx, ♣AQJxxxx. People might invent 2NT or 3NT, but the default is 2♦.

1♣ 1M 2♦ fake reverse, another thing to discuss with partners.

If you think you cannot stand it, when p decides to pass your 3C jump rebid,
without seeing his hand.

Personally I think these system gaps are a lot of fun. For example, let me deal you ♠AQx, ♥KQx, ♦Axx, ♣Qxxx. Nice hand, right? But you're in third, and partner just opened 1♣. Now what?
Anyway, back on the actual topic:

Blast-or-pass isn't that bad, and I insist on clarifying degree of fit and conducting a choice-of-game inquiry along the way (so that blasting 3NT isn't the solution, even if it were to show this hand type). Gaps in standard bidding are always guesswork.

Then what is your call (on this auction) with 3=1=3=6? If it is 3♣, Does partner show 5-card spades?

Are you asking:
- Whether I am aware that this is a system gap in standard?
- Which default compromise I find most acceptable without agreements?
- What the solution is in my own bidding systems?

I would make an inverted minor raise, if I dont have this, I bid 1D, followed by bidding 3NT, the hand is a bit too strong
for a direct 3NT (12/13 ... 15).
