It's hard to imagine any sort of training data set would trigger bidding 3D rather than 3C. Seems like the set of metrics being computed needs some work. Either that or a much larger data set.

He may not have expected a T/O with the hand you did hold.
I agree bidding the longer stronger suit is more rational, but ...
you cant change partners bid, he may have planned to bid clubs later,
you have influence over your bid.
