West GIB has full knowledge that his heart card is worthless. West also knows, nearly 100% certainty, that South has the K. At trick 9, when South cashes the K, even a novice human in the West seat would discard a heart.

Not our favourite bot, though. Our hero west chucks a spade! Absurd! Absurd!! Absurd!!!

PS: Worth linking this example from a few weeks ago where the bot messed up a 2-card ending (https://www.bridgeba...ard-ending-how/)

Will do tomorrow.

The deal is from a Daylong that ends late tonight.

This was Board #4 from the Free Acol Daylong Tournament dated 9th August.

I led the K at trick 10, and West threw a spade while retaining the useless heart. I can't see any logic for this action.

Acol tournaments use another robot.
I have forwarded the issue.
