Hello! I've noticed that robot explainers have been absent on this forum for the last several weeks. I realize that, at times, the explanations were over the top or too defensive with regards to the robots, but I always learned from them in a way that helped my F2F play (which is why I play with the robots). Best regards. Mike

Where are the Robot Explainers?

No one? That implies that the robots are as bad as the naysayers present, which I do not believe to be the case.
Still, I find it curious that the robot explainers "have abandoned the field" so to speak. Best regards. Mike

I don't find it surprising.
A long list of naysayers (some extremely accurate, others less so) have had their say and bowed out. Benelli has cultivated his own field with consistent fruit, and can hardly be expected to go beyond. Some like me are resigned and only point out the most egregious errors they encounter.
By far the best explainer (which is a different skill from naysaying) was Smerriman, who seems to have bowed out
Given the (third?) cycle of BBO stolidly ignoring all complaints for several years and then blowing trumpets to appoint yet another guru to finally fix the robot, which has obtained the same results as previous such cycles (guru makes a superficial attempt at dialogue and then disappears leaving robot less predictable and no public documentation of changes), that is easy to understand.

Thanks! I wish they would return.
I am just an intermediate bridge player. As I've noted before, there are some hands that I don't play because they do not help my F2F play, which is what I hope to improve. For many other hands, having explanations of robot hands has helped me with my F2F play since the explanations helped my understanding of the bidding/play, which had been in error. Best regards. Mike
