I log onto BBO, go to first table available. Play a few hands and everything is working. Then i get a pop up ad that goes down the middle of your playing screen. Can not bid because the ad is blocking the bidding box. And i can not figure out how to close the pop up. seems to be no close button. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

Our ads don't pop up in the middle of the screen, they're in fixed places on the side. If an ad is covering up part of the bidding or playing area, it's probably coming from malware. Do an anti-virus scan of your computer to fix it.

Other people have been reporting a similar problem, we think one of our advertisers is doing this, but it's hard for us to figure out which one. If you're still having the problem write to support@bridgebase.com and they'll take care of it for you.

I have friends who have tried to play on BBO, are plagued by adds and have given up trying. This was happening months ago.
I don't have and have never had a problem with adds when playing.

I have started to get a partial box, not the full box/advert when I sign in and I can't close it. This happens on the IPAD and I can get around it by closing the BBO session and signing on again,
no pop up.

Barmar and jellybean and whoever else might might of come upon this thread. This appears to be a BBO specific thing. I ran a full anti-virus scan and it still kept happening. Years ago I had a similiar thing happen in another online game i was playing and I remembered changing browers solved the problem. So I switched browers, and it worked! The adds still pop up but they are much smaller and more importantley I am able to close them. So if you know anyone else having this problem I suggest try changing browers. I switched to Microsoft Edge and so far, knock on wood, it is working.

I, too, started receiving pop-up ads multiple times during one hand! It is totally distracting and unfair to anyone trying to keep a proper train of thought when playing or bidding a hand. If it starts happening when I am playing and paying with a regular partner, I will really become annoyed. I hope you are working to fix this problem soon. Thank you------

Same here. Even tried Chrome. Right down the middle of the page. Can't play. I've subscribed to BBO premium twice already to deal with the ads, but I don't want to spend $8 a month just to avoid the ads. I tried to figure it out online, but so far no luck.

I can't find a link to email support.

I think I figured it out. Do a CNTL - to make the page smaller, until you can see the little x that will allow you to close the software running down the middle of the page.

Total Adblock seems to be the culprit. Maybe talk to them about getting their software ads not in the middle of the scree

Use Firefox with the u:block Origin adblocker, works great for me on BBO and other sites with too many ads.

It's been happening to me for about 3 weeks. I have not figured out how to stop it. I use Chrome, and am playing on a desktop computer.
