Hi,
After I cleared my diamonds, West's clubs and all the spades, I started to use my clubs to squeeze the hearts.
Despite enjoying a long diamond suit, West somehow followed my clubs with one of its precious hearts.
So I'd like to figure out the reason behind this unreasonable move. This isn't what I expect at Expert's level.

The lead is the club ten. I don't really understand your line here -- West has the long clubs when I try to cash in the order you suggest, so he's never discarding on clubs. Is there some way to make this hand that involves scoring more than one heart trick?
My analysis is that the hearts are unlikely to accomplish much here -- surely both opponents can guard the heart suit, and while there are hands where you can execute a double squeeze (where one opponent must guard spades and the other must guard diamonds, so that the hearts become good) that will not be the case here. You're going to need to lose a trick to rectify the count for a squeeze in 6NT, and this means giving up one of your threats and relying on only two suits. Since both opponents can (almost surely) guard hearts, your best play is to give up on the heart threat and simply duck a heart at trick two. Then you play for one opponent to guard both pointed suits.

The point of the hand is that West opened 1NT. They have shown ♠AK, nothing in clubs, probably only AQ(J) in diamonds since with ♦AK(Q) or ♦KQJ they would almost certainly lead a diamond instead of a doubleton club. So they need ♥Q to get up to 15-17 HCP. Missing 7 hearts, you have to finesse one way or the other. If you finesse West, it doesn't make any difference if West keeps a third heart. If you get confused and think that West pitched a heart because they don't have the queen, and finesse East for the ♥Q, you will lose the finesse and go down. West pitching a heart doesn't cost anything.
