Unusual 2NT absurdity that this is still like this is a disgrace

What on earth is the 3♥ bid about? You have 3 card support for either of my suits. I cannot rescue because bidding 4♣/4♦ shows a much stronger hand and GIB will put me to 6. 3NT shows 25-32 HCP (!!!) - a total absurdity that also needs fixing.

So I have to pass and presumably await the miserable 6/7 hearts that Gib must have, given that it didn't make a WJO. Oh, it actually has a mediocre 5 card suit? Great.

If the followups to Michaels and UNT are going to be so bad, I think they should remove the bids completely. Or, alternatively, actually fix it?

It would be nice if GiB could also learn the difference between 1NT Unusual (if we must play it) and balancing.
