Deal 2

Being imps certainly makes this deal much easier to get to slam even after partner makes a minimum rebid.

Are you really not just bidding 3N over 2 ? and is partner removing ?

1. 4 Not a splinter but a raise that sets up a forcing pass. We can not afford any unclarity if you pass 5 next round.
2. 2 Partner should not pass too easily. We need some bidding space to work out if we're going to play 3NT. Hopefully shows something in at some point.
3. Forcing. 3 fitbid.
4. Pass, I expect a trap pass, but I don't want to defend doubled with such weak defensive holdings and few tricks.

At imps much easier to try 2S 4sf, after partner shows long D and 0-2 hearts, 0-3 spades and 0-3 clubs.

You play 2 as 3sf here ?

Also what do you rebid 6-4 or 7-4 in the minors.

In fact with 7xxx, void, KQJxxxx, AK I might well rebid 2 rather than 1

I may well be lazy and inflexible, but I would have much preferred to follow 4 different threads, as always.

1D!-1H
2C!-2S!

2C shows long D, denies 4c or 4s or 3H

Pard would rebid 1NT! With clubs..

Sure I suppose you might ignore that lousy suit, not going to worry about it, pard could bid 3S over 2S I suppose with your example

Partner might jump rebid an artificial 2NT over one heart with your extreme example

So you have to rebid something else with 7 or 8 diamonds and a 4 card black ?

We don't play this, so the choice was 2 or 3. We would have artificiality available over this but it wouldn't help much.

Agree with 8-4. I would consider more than a 2D rebid.

If everyone else is doubling do you want to pass?

If I KNEW everyone was going to x (and I needed a top) I would pass. If I KNEW the entire field was going to X I would X. Lacking that particular piece of knowledge I would go with my (admittedly less than divine) judgement.

Hope that helps

They were poosted (or at least the results) upthread, partner's actual hand on the last was KQ8x, Qxx, K10x, K9x
