I have requested that my BBO account is closed, and would appreciate if this could happen as soon as possible. I know there is some kind of balance left over, but I just want the account deleted. There are various reasons for this, I don't want to go into specifics, but I'm trying to make some self improvements, and that account is a bad reminder of mistakes I have made.
I hope, however, I can continue to hold this account on the Forums. Not that I post much these days, but it's always nice to dip in once in a while, and I'll always be grateful for the community.
I post this message so that Diane and the team are aware that my request to close my BBO account is fully genuine.
Thanks,
Eagles

"definitely that's what I like to play when I'm playing standard - I want to be able to bid diamonds because bidding good suits is important in bridge" - Meckstroth's opinion on weak 2 diamond

I imagine BBO will answer, but FWIW my understanding is that you cannot hold an account on the forums without a BBO account, they are the same things.
You can always open a new account (with or without closing the current one) and that will have write access to the forums.

We closed your account on BBO. Not sure you can keep using the forums account - like pescetom mentioned, it's linked to the BBO username. I'll check with our techs if there's some way to let you keep the forums account only.
