a. takeout oriented, some H tolerance
b. cooperative/penalty oriented, usually a hand that could not act previously because of club length. Does not necessarily have a diamond stack

Strictly speaking the double can't be takeout, since there is only one suit left - the spades, but it's not a penalty either. Partner is saying "I have some points + values in clubs, no heart fit, so I don't have a convenient bid for fighting for the part score. I expect you to do something intelligent, although I know you well enough..."
