For some reason this is a recurrent problem. A couple of things you can try.

1) refer to it by the IP numbers rather than www.bridgebase.com or forums.bridgebase.com. I believe that these addresses are forward to a non-Bridgebase server, and occassionally they get redirected but the DNS around the world take a while to catch up and reflect these changes (BTW, I maybe really confused by what i am saying here)

2) keep the online.biridgebase.com on your favorite, then go to that page, click the related link, and then pick the site you want. I think online.bridgebase.com is never changed and is on bridgebase.com server.... The link there to these pages seem to be always right.

When uday or gerardo get here, maybe they can provide the technically correct explaination.

I think the bbo webpage is just down since last night. :D

Something funny going on...

http://online.bridge...ph/schedule.php

shows the vugraph schedule while,

http://www.bridgebas.../online/vg.html (the link from the vugraph button with BBO to the same page, does not).

looking to see if I can find the right IP link for the www.bridgebase.com home.

I can't log on to Forums from BBO; takes me to a page that says this address has moved or is temporarily unavailable.

That was only Fred and Uday, who knowing your IP address, are trying their best to dissuade you from coming to the forums...

For the Hell of me cant think why :D

Dont take it too personally, Winston

PS had a limerick for you, Winston: however, not wanting fruday to inflict the same embarrassment on me has they have on you, i have refrained from posting it.

http://www.bridgebase.com is currently down, http://online.bridgebase.com is another server.

The latter works, the former doesn't. I'll have time to look deeper into this when vugraph from Montevideo is over (later today) and I'm back home (later tonight).

I care about the friends I have made on BBO. Also, I am extremely concerned about the environment/ ecology/ wildlife/ the little planet that we call Earth. How much more of the world's habitat and food supply for animals do we plan on destroying. How many more wetlands are we going to drain, fill, and build on? How many more sand dunes are we going to knock down in the interests of high-rise hotels or luxury homes?

FWIW:
It's 1:40 pm DST on east coast USA (13:40?)

Just tried and was unsuccessful in attempt to access forum via BBO tools/web site.
Guess it really is down. Bookmarking favorite sites has its advantages at times. :D

Thanks Gerardo - I hope you can resolve. As I'm sure you know although these two URLs look very similar, they are quite different in many aspects. I wanted to look at some of the Articles on www.bridgebase.com which are not available on the other URL. There is also the Software and Deal of the Week on the original site which has no equivalent links on the newer site
