Software knocks me out of game

When playing games with prearranged partners in a seat that has been reserved for me, my screen, every now and then, takes me off my game back to the main page. The host then needs to invite me back, and I can rejoin the game. This hasn’t happened to the other players. I’m using a new IPad. Any suggestions? Thanks!
