Hello Everyone

If like me coming online with BBO was something of a culture shock and you were bewildered by all the new jargon, you no doubt adapted by providing your own survival strategies....

Realising the sieve like nature of my brain, mine was to use a packet of yellow self - stick notes and to plaster them on my computer for easy reference :-[.
I had a note for all these, new to me, terms...Hamilton, Texas, Roche, Crash, Aspro, Roman key card Blackwood etc.etc.

Now however technology has come to my rescue... a wee program which most importantly is FREE to download.
It resides quite happily in the bottom area of the screen as an icon to be called upon when needed....for me Brilliant.
I can now make somekind of impression on the clutter about my computer.

I'm also thinking about adapting it to provide me with note size summaries of some of the wonderful but strange to me bidding systems...Polish club, Moscito, Keyline :P

It is available at http://www.computeractive.co.uk/Download/T...hankyou/1142004

An important point I hope it doesn't contravene any ethical or legal aspects of BBO.

John ;)

Nice John!

I have tried to see if useable as some kind of script generator or as macro's! Maybe you have tested in another way and maybe you will be able to inform how to use:

I have created a note from an alert-file with this text: 0-7 any dist or 4441 any strength any short

I get this result when pasting: [09-08-2003 14:37:49]
0-7 any dist or 4441 any strength any short

How to paste without the date inserted?

Does note holder support other formats than plain text?

Hi Claus

Glad you found the note finder prog of some interest.... regarding modifying it to do other things I,m much too ignorant of computers to be of much use.
I shall play about with it and if anything interesting happens I will post it....but don't hold your breath :)

Perhaps others more knowledgeable may find ways to improve it.

Kind regards

John
