If player A has to drop out before the game is over and is replaced by player B, and if that pair places, there is the question of whether A or B should get the masterpoints. Supposedly, BBO will award points to the player who played over half the boards, which makes sense. But, this does not happen. In a recent tournament, 10 rounds of 2 boards, a player had to leave during board 19. I replaced her with a robot for the last board. Results show her partner + robot in 2nd place with no points for her.
Is there any way that this can be changed ?

There is a bug which appeared when we introduced robot subs in tournaments. If the player is replaced by a robot, and robot finishes the tournament, then the original player is not credited with the points / score like they would normally be in the case of a human sub.
We'll fix it in one of the next server upgrades. Meanwhile, you can email us at accounting@bridgebase.com or tournaments@bridgebase.com mentioning the game where robot won the points and we will move the points back to the player.
